After years of building his career in commercial and industrial real estate in the Roanoke area, Ed Hall was eager to give back to his community. He and his wife, Glenna, discussed several charities they wanted to support. After she passed away from leukemia just 30 days after being diagnosed, Ed decided to add Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Virginia to the list of funds to support.
A few years later, Ed heard about the Carilion Clinic Foundation's Reaching Far, Caring Close campaign to transform cancer care in the Roanoke area. He felt that shifting his support to this campaign would be the best way to honor his wife's memory and decided to make a gift to help bring tomorrow’s cancer care to our region today.
With a long-term view in mind, Ed set up a planned gift that will play a key role in bringing the future of cancer care closer to the Roanoke Valley. His dedication and foresight will help make a significant impact in the community for generations to come.
